IUI and A Snow Picture

I haven't been posted for almost a month. I apologize to my friend Helen for this delay. Doctors and tests have kept me busy and I just don't feel like blogging.

But my friend Helen and my husband's persistence in supporting my blog kept me going. And I cherish both of them a lot. So I am willing to work on it so that they, especially Helen can track my progress in life.

IUI went well. So now I just wait for the result in less than two weeks. I don't have much hope for it though. I don't feel any different and I don't see that IUI will give us a much higher chance of conceive. But it is worth a shot.

The costs of the whole IUI procedure including medicine, blood work and ultra sound are much more expensive than I imagined. Much more. We spent about $1200 even with 50% insurance coverage. With IVF, I think that we can go as high as $7000. I can't fathom why insurance company and congress can let this happen-that couples have to go broke to fulfill their dream of building a family. And trust me, infertility is very stressful, very hard on our marriage. Sometimes, I question whether it is worth going through so much physical and financial pain to have a baby. I still have my doubts. But so far, I am willing to try until one day I know beyond a doubt that living child free is meant for me.

I will attached a snow picture of our front yard with a snowman in the middle. Helen, that is our house's front yard and we got all these snow on Sunday. Enjoy.
